Green has become big in Maine. Our Business Spotlight section will highlight businesses that are supporting sustainable home building practices, sustainable products for home building, green architecture, green living practices, responsible business practices and all around eco-friendly action.
It’s no secret that in order for our economy and environment to thrive, sustainable building practices and renewable energy have to become commonplace in homes and buildings now and into the future. Our state has a strong movement gathering that is ready to take charge and lead us to an environmentally friendly and energy efficient existence. Coupled with the desire to have no toxic chemicals in the materials used to build homes, our health now and for our children will improve dramatically. As we approach our dwelling spaces and work places as potential energy production facilities and healthy environments, everyone benefits. New jobs are created, the cost of energy both monetarily and impact on the environment go down and our worlds, personal and global, become more balanced.
We are proud to be a part of the ‘Green’ movement here in Maine, and we intend on doing our best to propel the knowledge and education it will take to make sustainable living and building common practice.
